We are a small and friendly archery club based in Hampstead, London, England. The club caters for beginners and experienced archers alike in indoor and outdoor target archery. We welcome members interested in many aspects of archery, and a variety of bow styles are shot at the club, from traditional longbows and barebows to recurve and compound bows.

Beginners Courses PDF Print E-mail

If you fancy trying your hand with a bow and arrow, sign up to our beginners course. We provide all the equipment you need to learn, so there's no need to buy anything before hand. Our highly experienced coaches will take you through all that you need to know to shoot safely, as well as accurately.

The next beginners course starts on the 24th of April.  Contact us at the address below as soon as possible to book your space.

Times and place
The beginners course will take place on Saturdays, from 11am to 1pm, at the Royal Free Recreation Club in Hampstead.

How To Find Hampstead Bowmen [google map]
The Club entrance is on Fleet Road, close to its junction with Pond Street at South End Green. Fleet Road is part of a clockwise one way system, and you will find the RFH Recreation Club, with its terra cotta facade, on the left hand side at the end of a wooden fence.

The nearest station is Belsize Park on the Northern Line, Edgware branch (8-10 mins)
